Okul radyosunda hazırlanan kısa bir bülten:

(1) The Hubble Space Telescope was placed into orbit in 1990.
(2) Today, thousands of space photos are sent to Earth every year.
(3) In the future, many dangerous jobs in space will be done by robots.

Üç cümle de edilgen, ama zamanları farklı. Tek değişen "be" fiilinin biçimi:

Emin Değilsen: Might ve It's Possible

Kaan: Do you think we will find life on other planets?
Su: It's possible, but I'm not sure. We might find tiny living things on Mars.

Will kesinliğe yakın bir tahmindir. Emin değilseniz might + yalın fiil (-ebilir) ya da "It's possible, but I'm not sure" kalıbı kullanılır. "Definitely" (kesinlikle) ise tam tersini anlatır; soruda "emin olmadığını belirtmek" deniyorsa bu seçenek elenir.

If ile Gelecek

"If governments spend more money on space research, new inventions will come faster." · "If we build a base on the Moon, it will be easier to go to Mars."

Her iki örnekte if tarafı geniş zaman (spend, build), sonuç tarafı will.

Köprü: Will, Going To ve Might Yan Yana

Eski özet will ile be going to farkını anlatıyordu. Buna might eklenince bir kesinlik ölçeği çıkar:

• Plan hazır: "We are going to visit the planetarium on 12 May." (bilet alındı)
• Güçlü tahmin: "I think robots will clean our houses." (fikir)

The Perseverance rover landed on Mars in February 2021. It was designed to look for signs of ancient life. Rock samples are collected by the rover and are kept in special tubes. Scientists hope these samples will be brought back to Earth in the 2030s. A small helicopter was also carried by the rover. It was the first helicopter which flew on another planet.

Sık Yapılan Hata: Tarih Varken Present Perfect

Sık yapılan hata: "The rover has landed on Mars in 2021." Bir yıl (in 2021) verildiği için present perfect kullanılamaz; doğrusu "The rover landed on Mars in 2021."

İkinci yanılgı: gelecekte edilgende "be"yi düşürmek: "Many jobs will done by machines" eksiktir; will'den sonra "be" gelmeli: "will be done".

LGS Gözüyle ve Alıştırma

LGS'de edilgen sorusu genellikle zamanı soru kökünde verir: "edilgen geçmiş zaman", "edilgen gelecek zaman". Önce zamanı, sonra "be"nin biçimini seçin; fiilin 3. hâli üç zamanda da aynıdır.
